EPro8 Challenge

On Tuesday night we had two Year 7 & 8 teams competing in the EPro 8 Challenge at Stratford Primary School. It was a fantastic evening which challenged our Year 7 & 8 teams to use their creative thinking skills to complete some tricky tasks. They had 2 1/2 hours to work their way through as many tasks as they could. Each task was allocated points depending on its difficulty.

One team had to build a bridge which spanned a distance of 2.2m and a 1m tall boat had to be able to pass underneath. The girls worked so hard to figure this one out!

Our second Toko team decided to complete the Theme Park Ride Challenge. This involved them using fans and a launch pad to propel a balloon upwards to at least 1.2m. It had to then float in place for at least 10 seconds.

The kids absolutely loved the EPro8 Challenge. Our regular weekly STEM sessions definitely helped them to think outside the box and make the most of their allocated time. It was an awesome opportunity for our kids.
